We are very grateful for the success we have had over the past 18 years as owners of Merland Park. We have enjoyed giving back to the community in various ways over the years. Some of our proudest moments include; hosting an annual ice fishing derby that has raised money for the Kiwanis Club’s Terrific Kids Program. We are super proud to say that over the course of 10 years, we have raised approximately $15,000 for this wonderful program. Each year, we are happy donate prize packages ranging from a free pontoon boat rental for the day to a 5 day cottage rental with a value of $2,300, to various charitable organizations such as The Salvation Army, MS Society, Rotary Club & the Chinese Fishing Club of Toronto. We have supported several local youth sports teams, sponsored an up and coming MMA fighter as well as the local Dolphins swim team for the past 3 years. We have donated prize packs to men’s ball hockey year end banquets and to fundraising events for local schools in the Prince Edward County area. This year we were honored to be a part of the Wild For Hope Sportsman’s Gala & Fundraising Dinner which raises funds to assist those with Cerebral Palsy. We purchased tickets & donated a prize to the Silent Auction table. We look forward to continuing with this pay it forward philosophy because we can appreciate the need for charity and the value of random acts of kindness.
