Merland Park is a strong believer in giving back to those in need. Although, we get numerous requests, and can’t possible honor them all each year, we do try to choose a variety of organizations, charities and causes who need our help. In 2019, we were able to support the Salvation Army, Brain Cancer Research & Autism Awareness donating prize packs to their fundraising events. In July, we were honored to be able to support the North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery which is a state-of-the-art, fish culture facility that runs on a water re-circulation system and is operated almost solely by volunteers. In November, we chose to support a local family, who fell victim to a fire and lost their home, by donating to a silent auction that was put on to raise much needed funds for the family. We also enjoy donating to smaller, local events or charities like Chesher’s Outdoor Store fundraising event & Dolphins Swim Team.
